Persian ‘Mini’ Meels 2kg (4kg set) – air-dried walnut

Persian ‘mini ‘meels (mils) – a little shorter than our Starter size meels. Each is made from a single piece of sustainable walnut hardwood. Weighing close to 2kg each club – lovingly hand-turned with oil finished to both protect the wood and enhance appearance.

Due to the nature of wood, there maybe a natural variation of weight and colour. We make most of our clubs in batches and match pairs according to proximity of weight. Variations above/below the target weight will happen though we aim to match pairs as close as possible. Most weights are a little over the stated weight. Please let us know if you prefer a slightly heavier or lighter pair from the batch.

Description

HAND TURNED HARDWOOD Persian ‘mini’ meels. These meels are hand-made by craftsman within a charity organisation that supports over 400 villages in southern India, whom BMF supports. We donate 10% of production costs to the charity and their tree planting programme.
HAND TURNED HARDWOOD Persian meels varying weights from 3.6kg (8lb) to 4.4kg (9lb) sets.

These clubs are sourced from solid walnut logs and as such, carry a risk of small cracks appearing. These are considered cosmetic and can be easily fixed using wood glue. Should your clubs display excessive splitting, then please let us know if this happens and we can work out a solution. Follow this link for inforation on care and maintenance.

    Cute and versatile! Small enough to be used as heavy indian clubs, heavy enough to be used as meels, and singles can be used karlakattai style or for practicing heavy clubbell movements. Excellent for loaded yoga flows too. Just an exceptionally useful little pair of clubs. Plus they look stunning! 10/10
